12. Subsequent Events Subsequent to March 31, 2016, Sonic repurchased approximately 0.4 million shares of its Class A common stock for approximately $6.4 million in open market transactions. Subsequent to March 31, 2016, flooding in the Houston, Texas market resulted in inventory losses at certain of Sonic’s dealerships. Sonic is in the process of evaluating the impact of this flooding on its dealership operations. |
